Oklahoma's Newest Science Fiction Convention
Events Entering the Atmosphere in 2027
Founded in 2016
CRASHLANDED is science fiction, strictly and unapologetically, and it celebrates the genre across every medium: the films, television, games, comics, and art that carry us to other worlds, with a special focus on the written word that launched us there first. Fans, creators, and artists come together for a convention designed to spark curiosity, encourage literacy, and remind us that every great voyage through the stars began with someone imagining it.
CRASHLANDED launched in 2016 as a science fiction convention, founded by Rowan Fowler and convention legend Scott Richardson. It welcomed fans aboard in 2019 and again on March 5th-8th, 2020, making it one of the last events to take off before the United States shut down in response to COVID-19. Since then, the signal has been quiet. Now a program of the Oklahoma Society for Culture Appreciation (OS4CA), CRASHLANDED sits in the spacedock, undergoing active redevelopment receiving a reinforced hull, a fresh holodeck program, and a course set for its return to orbit.
At its core, CRASHLANDED is about community, the philosophy that every explorer has a place on the crew and is welcome to be exactly who they are. Guided by OS4CA’s mission of Promoting Education and Community through Entertainment, CRASHLANDED is a chance to gather, wonder, and look to the stars together. Keep your comms open. The mission is not over.
