2021 COVID-19 Policy

As we are approaching the convention, we wanted to announce the guidelines as approved by our policy team surrounding our event and COVID-19. These guidelines are of utmost importance to us to ensure we have a safe event. Below are the guidelines as approved. 

 

  1. Masks

    1. In accordance with current CDC guidelines (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-coverings.html) for vaccinated and unvaccinated persons in areas of high risk, masks will be required for ALL individuals over the age of 2 while inside event venues, unless in designated eating areas. 

    2. In the event you arrive at Tokyo, OK without a mask, one will NOT be provided and entry to the event will not be granted without one. As this policy will require strict adherence to ensure a safe event, we will not allow entry to anyone who refuses to comply, and refusal will result in denial of entry for the entire 2021 event. No refunds will be provided.

    3. Masks must comply with CDC Guidelines (linked above) and are required to be worn correctly at all times. Individuals will receive two (2) warnings to adjust masks, and any following infractions will result in immediate expulsion from the event, with no refund. Individuals who arrive with masks that do not comply with CDC guidelines will not be allowed entry until a compliant mask is worn.

  2. Social Distancing

    1. Individuals and their immediate parties are advised to maintain 6 feet of distance between other individuals/parties while inside event spaces, especially in lines, panel rooms, gaming areas, and designated areas where mask removal is permitted.

  3. Vaccinations 

    1. Everyone that will be in attendance is recommended to have received at least one dose of a vaccine before arrival. 

  4. Documentation

    1. At this time, we will not be requiring documentation of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests. However, we recommend anyone who feels symptomatic or those who may be traveling in to get tested at any of the available free testing sites. If in the event you are symptomatic, please refrain from arriving at the event until you have obtained a negative test result. If you receive a positive result, please do not attend, and contact us to roll your pass over to 2022. If it is found that you have received a positive result and arrived at the convention anyways, you will be escorted from the convention and your badge may be confiscated. 

 

Additionally, we would like to announce that our registration and policy teams have determined it is in our best interest to suspend on-site registration for the 2021 event as a precaution. We are happy to announce that ALL passes (Weekend, Day, Shopping, Gaming, and ) will be available via the P.O.P. Registration System. We will be able to confidently guarantee a 15 minute turn around for P.O.P. We do wish to stress, this will mean we will not be taking cash on-site for registration, and all purchases will go through the online system. Child Passes will be available with a quick electronic registration form at the Specialty Pass registration line, abiding by our 1 Child pass per Adult pass guideline.
